(Sam Worthington) who plays as Jake Sully a paraplegic war veteran is brought to another planet called Pandora after his twin brother dies in a robbery. Jake decides to take over his place in a mission that will change him for ever. What Jake wants most is to have his legs working again because he is sick and tired of not being able to walk and have his old life back, but that does not stop him from doing anything a normal man can do. Jake has a strong heart and is brave even though he is still a child in many ways inside and is still finding his purpose in life.
The planet Pandora; is inhabited by a humanoid race called the Na’vi who have their own language and culture.
There Jake learns of greedy corporate Parker Selfridge’s intentions of driving off the native humanoid “Na vi” in order to mine for the precious material scattered throughout their rich woodland which is worth allot back on earth. In exchange for spinal surgery that will fix his legs. In the mean time; Jake has the time of his life in a “Avatar identity (the Na’vi well aware that he is human; think it is a good idea to teach Jake their ways so that it would hopefully course some sort of peace between the two worlds). Jake is good at what he does as a soldier, and gathers Intel for the cooperating military unit, at the same time learning the tribes ways; to build their trust and find out what they want to be able to move to another location.
While Jake begins to bond with the native tribe he finds a further complication that will add to conflict in more than one way, by falling in love with Neytiri (played by Zoe Saldana) a beautiful alien who will one day be the high prise of her tribe. By this time the restless Colonel are aware that the tribe will never move from their home and with jakes early Intel, The Colonel moves forward with his ruthless extermination tactics and takes down the massive home tree.
After this Jake is now forced to make a decision and take a side, by listening to his inner soul he fights back with the
Na’ vi and joins many tribes together resulting in a massive battle between two worlds for the fate of the planet Pandora.
